Question:

I would like to get a retractable tonneau cover for my 2022 Honda Ridgeline. I was considering RetraxPro but saw a review complaining that the Honda in-bed trunk can not open all the way after installation. I am now considering a Pace Edwards Full-Metal JackRabbit Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover - Aluminum. Do you have any knowledge if this design is any different, allowing full-open ability for the in-bed trunk door? Thanks!

For your in bed trunk to operate without issues you will need to use a tonneau cover like the Extang Trifecta Signature 2.0 # EX94590. This has narrow side rails that attach to the bed side rails which will allow the trunk lid to still open. Both the RetraxPro # RT80502 and Pace Edwards # 311-FMHA17A43 have wide rails that mount inside the bed rails. These rails are what causes the lid to not open fully on the trunk door.
