I would be happy to help you find a brake controller for your 1989 C/K Series Pickup. I recommend the Curt TriFlex Trailer Brake Controller item # C24VV. This is a proportional brake controller that works with trailers having up to four axles. It works with electric and electric over hydraulic trailer brakes. The nine sensitivity settings let you adjust initial braking power and aggressiveness. You will also need the Universal Wiring Adapter for Curt Trailer Brake Controllers item # C51515 to install this brake controller in your truck.
