Does Heat Shield Get Reattached to 2021 Subaru Forester w/ etrailer or Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver

Hello, I’m a big fan of your site. Had a successful hitch install on my current car, made possible by your excellent customer support! 1 Do you know if the etrailer brand hitch from the ‘21 is compatible? 2 the video on the Curt which seems to be the same item, essentially puts the heat Shield back on, though the written text says it will be permanently removed. Just making sure on not missing something… it goes back on. Best

You do indeed have the option of reinstalling the heat shield with either the etrailer Trailer Hitch # e83ZR or Curt Trailer Hitch # C13409.
You would need to drill holes in the heat shield and then re-install it, but this is totally optional so if you'd like you can do so but it isn't necessary.
