Question:
I have a 2018 Ram 2500 that I will use to tow a 2022 Grey Wolf 36 foot, 8000 lb max loaded weight trailer. Though the truck capacity far exceeds the trailer weights I need a WD/Anti-sway hitch with a minimum 4 inch, preferably 6 inch that can be left in place while backing. The hitch reciever is a 2 1/2 class 5. I have towed the trailer 700 + miles in crosswinds with little issue on dry roads, but want the added assurance of a WD/Anti-sway hitch to meet Ram recommendations, as well as to address liability concerns. Im having trouble finding options. Max tongue weight will not exceed 1k lbs. Can you make any suggestions? Ive had great luck with etrailer in the past, so thought that if anyone would have something available, it would be etrailer. Thanks.

I am not sure if you have a Forest River Grey Wolf 29QB or 29TE but that should not matter as they are both pretty much the same weight. The Blue Ox TrackPro Weight Distribution part # BLU87FR would be a perfect option for this trailer and a taller truck as the shank offers up to 4-1/2" of drop. Please note, for a 2-1/2" hitch you'll need to use an adapter like the B&W Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeve part # BWRHXA2182.
The Blue Ox TrackPro has both weight distributing properties as well as built-in sway control. If you reverse you'll want to unhook the spring bars unless you can stay straight but that is the case for any system.
