Question:
I live in Alaska, and have sold my street car to a customer that wants to have me deliver the car to Phoenix, Arizona. The car is a Dodge Challenger and weighs approximately 4,400 lbs Im looking for a very reliable, dependable and strong tie down system that Im not going to have to worry about for the duration of the trip. The car is very hard to get underneath, so Im really looking for a system that I has versatility and strength. My trailer is an enclosed Look Element 10K trailer. Incidentally, I will also be returning to Alaska with another car in this same trailer. Can you let me know what is going to work best please. I will also be utilizing air bladders to keep the car suspension from moving as much as possible. On a side note.... The roads between Alaska and through all of British Columbia and the Yukon Territory are absolutely garbage... Thanks you!

For your Dodge Challenger I recommend using the Erickson E-Track Tie-Down Kit # EM58523-09162-4. With this kit you get 4 e-track wheel straps that will provide you a great way of securing your Challenger. The straps will be easier to route around the outside section of the tires as you mentioned the Challenger sat very close to the ground. The straps will hold all 4 tires is place securely. This will allow the suspension in the Challenger to move freely which will be better over those bad roads that you mentioned on your trip. Also included are 2 wheel chocks that will mount to an e-track and provide additional security and help with loading the vehicles and ensuring it stops where you want it to.
If your trailer does not already have e-track we have the etrailer Horizontal E-Track # e42VR available as a kit of 4 sections 94" long each which provides plenty of adjustment for hauling lots of different vehicles and other equipment. The etrailer E-Track Backing Plates # e66RR will ensure that the e-track bolts do not pull through the floor of your trailer.
