Question:
I have a 2022 Audi Q5 and I'm looking for a brake controller. I don't want something that will take up a lot of space or be in the way in my vehicle. I was looking at the Curt Spectrum and the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite. Would you recommend one over the other? Is there something else you think would be a better option? Thank you.

For your 2022 Audi Q5 I would recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 3 Axles - Proportional # RED44FR over the Curt Spectrum Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 4 Axles - Proportional - Dash Mount # C51170.
These brake controllers are very similar in all aspects and both would work well. The main reason I would recommend the Redarc is the control knob. Although the Curt control knob can have an easier installation and potentially be installed without drilling, the Redarc control knob will be more aesthetically pleasing in your Audi Q5 in my opinion. The only downside to the Redarc control knob is that it will require drilling a small hole in order to install it. This may not be something you want to do in your new vehicle.
If you would like to avoid any drilling or real installation, I recommend the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180. This brake controller plugs in line with your 7-way connection at the back of your vehicle. There is no need for a control unit or knob since the settings are controlled by your smart phone via Bluetooth through the Echo Smart Control App. The app will not interfere with your Audi Q5's hands-free multimedia setup and allows you to save different trailer profiles for different towing setups.
I have attached a video review of the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite and the Curt Echo for your reference.
