What is the distance between the vehicle and rack when the rack is folded up? What is the distance between the vehicle and the first bike wheel slot?

Hello, not knowing your exact vehicle type I can not give you exact numbers. The measurements are from the center of the hitch pin hole.

The Curt 4 Bike Platform Rack # C18087 will be approximately 13-15 inches to the first wheel hoop.
It will have approximately 10 inches of rise and will be 54 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the rack.
