What Non-Hitch Mount Bike Rack Will Work with My Electra Townie Step-Thru on My 2021 BMW 3 Series

If you are looking for a non-hitch mount option to transport your Electra Townie step-thru on your 2021 BMW 3 Series, we do have some options depending on if you have a sedan, wagon, or convertible. According to my research on your Electra Townie, they have a weight of 32 pounds. Depending on the model of Electra Townie you have, I recommend consulting your owner's manual to confirm the weight in order to make sure it falls within the range of the bike rack's maximum weight capacity.
If you have a sedan 2021 BMW 3 Series, I recommend the Yakima FullBack 2 Bike Rack # Y02634. The FullBack 2 comes with a 35 pound per-bike weight capacity. Also, the FullBack 2 includes 4 cam-buckle straps with hooks that secure the rack to your trunk (even with glass hatches). It also includes locks for your rack and your bikes.
If you have a convertible, I recommend the Saris Guardian 2 Bike Rack # SAR93FR. The Guardian 2 also comes with a 35 pound per-bike weight capacity and includes an easy out-of-the-box installation. You can add additional theft detterance of both your rack and your bikes by adding the 8' Cable Lock and lock Loop for Saris Trunk Mounted Bike Racks # SAR52FR.
With both the HalfBack 2 and the Guardian 2, you will need a bike frame adapter bar like the Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter Bar # 64005 since your Electra Townie is a step-thru frame. We unfortunately do not carry any trunk-mounted bike racks that are compatible with your 2021 BMW 3 Series that avoids the use of an adapter bar.
