Parts Needed to Flat tow a 2021 Jeep Wrangler JL

Thank you for the kind words, and we've got everything you'll need to flat tow your 2021 Jeep Wrangler JL with your Nexus Viper Class B; a complete flat towing setup consists of a tow bar, compatible base plates, safety cables, tow bar wiring, supplemental braking and possibly a high/low adapter.

For the base plates and tow bar I recommend going with the Roadmaster Crossbar Style Base Plates w/Removable Arms # RM-521453-4 and the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar - Motorhome Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,000 lbs # RM-522. The Falcon All-Terrain tow bar is one of our most popular and well rated tow bars; I really like Roadmaster's flat towing parts since they're well designed and durable. You'll also need some safety cables since the Falcon does not include them, so I recommend using the RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables - 6,000 lbs # RM-643 since they're coiled to reduce their chance of dragging.

For the wiring I recommend using the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 4-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15247 since it will connect to your RV's 7 way connector and the diodes help prevent back feed that might damage the RV's electrical system in the event of a short.

For a supplemental braking system I recommend using the Roadmaster Invisibrake # RM-8700, which is compatible with the hydraulic braking system on your RV and provides proportional braking for your Jeep; proportional braking will help reduce some of the wear and tear on your vehicle since it activates the brakes in proportion with the braking pressure applied from the coach. You will also need the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751490 to complete installation of the supplemental braking system.

You may also need a high/low adapter to keep the tow bar level and ensure that it doesn't bind up when turning. It's not a required part, but you also might want to consider adding the Roadmaster Rock Guardian # RM-4000 and Roadmaster Tow Defender Protective Screening # RM-4700 to help protect the front of your vehicle from potentially damaging rocks and other debris that might scratch the paint or crack the windshield. You could use either one to add a layer of protection, but for the maximum protection these two parts are designed to work together.
