What is Max Ski Length of Yakima EXO System with Ski and Snowboard Carrier and Carrier
Published 09/15/2021 >
Question:
In the comprehensive video on the Yakima EXO, your spokesperson mentions that the EXO ski rack can accommodate skis up to 185 cm. Why is there this limit? I want to carry cross-country skis up to 210 cm and am wondering why these would not fit. Isnt the only limitation the width of the vehicle in my case, a Ford Transit Cargo Van 150? We wouldnt want the skis to protrude beyond the vehicles sides by too much, but it seems that the ski rack should be able to accommodate longer skils. Please advise.

Expert Reply:
The ski length max of the Yakima EXO System with Ski and Snowboard Carrier and Enclosed Cargo Carrier # Y94ZR being 185 cm is based on the width of the vehicle. So if you had a really wide vehicle a longer ski would work.
