Question:
Looking to purchase a Redarc Trailer Brake Controller with Adapter for my 2010 Honda Pilot. How does the automatic leveling feature work? Does it use existing electrical/hardware already installed in the honda pilot or is there additional electrical/hardware to purchase?

Expert Reply:
The Automatic leveling feature of the Redarc Tow Pro Liberty # RED24FR just means that you can mount the main body of the controller any direction and the active calibration system will detect the correct direction of travel to make sure you are getting the best braking performance and response.
You will just need to make sure you mount the controller to a solid surface so it does not move, and not to something like a wire loom ETC.
Since your 2010 Honda Pilot has the factory towing package you will just need to use the Plug and plug wiring adapter # RED59FR to plug into the factory trailer brake controller port underneath the dash of your vehicle. The other end of the adapter will plug into the controller so you will not need to make any other wiring connections.
I included a video of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
