Can a 2021 Honda Passport Elite Pull a Sol Horizon Camper?
Published 09/09/2021 >
Question:
We have 2021 Honda passport elite. We are thinking about purchasing an sol horizon rv. It’s weight fully loaded is 4K and the tongue weight is rated between 465 to 495. Will it be safe for us to pull. We plan to get sway bars and weight distribution system installed.

With the 2021 Honda Passport Elite being equipped with standard all-wheel drive, you have up to 5,000 pounds of maximum towing capacity and 500 pounds of tongue weight. With that being said, it does look like you will be good to go, but I do recommend loading the camper a little back heavy.
With the Sol Horizon being so close to your vehicle's maximum capacities, I definitely suggest using a weight distribution system. When choosing one of these, you want to make sure to try and get as close to the middle of its minimum and maximum capacities as possible. The Blue Ox TrackPro # BLU36FR will have a minimum of 200 pounds and a maximum of 600 pounds and will be a very good option.
