Fitting Slide Topper Bracket With Fridge Vent Interference

Question:
Just received the slide out topper from you and the top left bracket hits the Dometic top Refrigerator vent or exhaust. I believe my options are to shim out 1/4 inch or cut the bracket down. What is the best solution?

I would recommend using shims to move the slide out awning # LCV000251461 out far enough that it wouldn't interfere and you could install it where it needs to go.
