Troubleshooting Solera Slide Out Awning Arms That Rub Against The Slide Out Molding

Question:
Good morning, a few years back, I installed a lippert slide out awning following your installation instruction video. Looked great functioned well but this week Ive noticed that the awning and roller rubbing on top corner of slide out molding. Ive noticed that the mounting plate on the front corner of slide out is starting to separate from outside wall. Any suggestions on what to do next?

Thank you for the pictures, it really helps to figure out what's causing the issue when I can see it. Based on the pictures it's touching the molding because the extension rods aren't centered in the brackets. The rod on the right is further in the bracket than the left and it's causing more tension on that left side forcing it back against the molding and pulling on the bracket, giving you the gap you're seeing.
To fix this you would just need to slide the awning over a bit to split the tension evenly between both extension rods. To do this you'll need to complete the following steps:
First close the slide out and reinsert the holding clips into the roller endcaps that came with your # LCV000168107 when you first installed it. If you don't have these clips you can use a small screwdriver and slide it through the caps to prevent the roller from unwinding on you. There is a ton of tension on these and you can easily hurt yourself or damage the awning/side of your trailer so be careful and make sure that the roller is properly secured before going forward.
Once the roller is secured you can remove the two screws you inserted into the awning bead/extrusion rail so that the awning fabric can slide in the railing.
Next you'll unscrew the extension rods from the brackets and center them so that both are equally held in the brackets and then you can screw them back into place.
After that you can remove the retaining clips/screwdrivers from the endcaps and run your slide out in and out a few times to get the fabric straight and then reinsert the bead screws into the extrusion rail to prevent the fabric from sliding.

I read your comment as to the repair on this one. I had a similar situation or shall I say I am having a similar situation. My problem is that the extension rods on my slide out for the topper centered, but are not into the bracket far enough. I believe the manufacture should have used one size smaller slide topper, but I can’t change that at this time. Can I get longer rides so that the one side will not walk up over the slide out frame? Thanks!!!
