Question:

Im looking for a class III trailer hitch for a 2021 Toyota Highlander hybrid Platinum AWD, but the website wont let me specify beyond year, make and model and I have found that trying to buy one through Autozone that hitches vary by model. What do you recommend for the vehicle specs above?

The # C99FR Curt hitch will fit your vehicle.

In our fit guide, we don't typically specify a vehicle trim level UNLESS a certain trim level will prevent the hitch from being installed. According to Curt, their 13453 Class III hitch we offer as part # C99FR will fit all models of the 2021 Highlander EXCEPT for the XSE model, which has a dual exhaust that prevents the hitch from fitting correctly (although we've had several customers install it on an XSE model without issue).

If you'll be towing with the hitch, you'll need a few other items to complete your towing system. For a trailer wiring harness, use part # TK99FR. For a ball mount, use # D-4, Hitch Pin and Clip, # PC3, and # 19260 for a 1-7/8 inch trailer ball or # 63845 for a 2 inch ball.
