Question:
I have a rons trailer 2 function dump/ tilt with 7k axles with no name on them or markings that I can find anywhere. I want to put 17.5 inch wheel/ tire combo on them with 8-219-18UC3 conversion you recommended as well as your brand of nevr adjust equivalent brakes and hardware. Also, do you have a u-bolt kit for 7k axles? Will these parts work or where do I measure to find out?

To confirm that the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 8-219-18UC3 will fit on your Ron's Trailer axle you will need to measure the spindle on your axles. I have included a picture for the measurement locations for the spindle. You can also compare the bearing numbers that you have to determine if they share the same inner dimensions.
B-2.25" ( # GS-2250DL)
C-1.750" ( # 25580)
D-1.250" ( # 14125A)
If these match and you have the E-Z lube spindle the Dexter # 8-219-18UC3 is the right hub for you. This hub uses 9/16" lug centric studs which you will need to ensure work with your intended wheel and tire combo. If anything is different please let me know what you have so I can make the correct recommendation.
The Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors # BB2717SS can be used if you do not have an E-Z lube spindle as they will allow you to add grease to your hub bearings without removing the hub.
The Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-7-SA works with the Dexter hubs. These are 12" x 2" and feature a self adjusting design. This will ensure even braking and increase brake pad life over the life of the brakes. These attach via 5 bolts to you axle.
The CE Smith U-Bolt Kit # CE23003 works with 7,000lb axles that use a 3" round axle tube. This kit includes four 7" long U-bolts, two U-bolt plates, and the 8 nuts. Enough for 1 axle to mount to your 1-3/4" leaf springs.
