Using The RV Hand Pump Water Faucet With A Reliance Aquatainer Water Jug

Question:

Hello, We dont drink the water in our RV since were the third owner and skeptical of how clean the water lines and fresh water tank are. So when were using the RV, we like to bring a 7 gallon Reliance Aquatainer water jug and fill it at the campground for drinking water. It usually then just sits outside the camper on a picnic table, etc. I would like to install this hand operated manual water pump style faucet with hole drilled through sink next to our existing hot/cold faucet which is plumbed to the campers water system and then simply run tubing into the blue Reliance jug under the sink. This way, I know the tubing and water jug are clean for fresh drinking water for the family. Will this hand pump faucet work in this manner with a tube ed into the 7 gallon water jug? Thanks, David

The RV Hand Pump Water Faucet - 1/4" MPT - Chrome Item # 37297025 is designed to hand pump water out of a standard water tank so you should have no issues mounting it to your counter and running a line into your water jug.
