Tonguejack battery located in the front of the camper at it isn’t keeping a charge

I would make sure that the trailer battery located on the tongue of your camper is hooked to the 7-way connector on your trailer so the 12v power pin of the vehicle is keeping a maintenance charge on the battery while towing.
Now when it is not connected to the trailer there is nothing keeping the battery charged so if you are going long periods of time between towing the trailer then I recommend removing the battery and placing it on a charger like the NOCO Genius Smart Battery Charger - AC to DC - 6V/12V - 5 Amp # 329-GENIUS5.
If the battery has not been charged while sitting for a while it is possible that the batter has gone bad and will need to be replaced. You will know by charging the battery and seeing if it holds a charge.
I included a video of the # 329-GENIUS5 for you to take a look at.
