Will the CAB-C5GX1216 Fit a 2020 Ram With Factory Gooseneck Hitch?

Question:

Will offset convert-a-hitch work on a 2020 Ram 2500 4x4 with short bed.This truck has factory installed gooseneck hitch with integrated ball. If it wont work, why not. Thank you.

The Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter w/ Offset # CAB-C5GX1216 is specifically designed to be used with short-bed trucks. That being said, there are a few caveats.

First, if your factory gooseneck ball utilizes a ball with an integrated locking lever, this should not be used. With how this sits on the ball, it will wear this style of lever out and can cause the ball to detach from the actual hitch.

This should also no be used if your current pin box is cushioned in any way. This style pin box will cause too many pivot points and will cause a failure.

So with all that being said, if you do not have this style of ball or pin box, you will be good to go.
