RV approved means the rack has been constructed to withstand the extra forces that come with being on the rear of the RV. Forces that it would not encounter on the rear of your passenger vehicle. Your car, truck, or SUV, will have better suspension than your RV. Oftentimes there is lots of overhang past the rear axle of your RV. All of this makes it a very bumpy ride at the rear of your RV compared to the rear of your car, truck, or SUV. Your rack will have to be RV approved to work. The manufacturers of the racks do this testing and they decide if they are rated for RV use. (We do offer options from Kuat, Thule, and Yakima, that are RV approved) Your hitch receiver on your Honda CR-V will have to be rated as a Class II hitch receiver. If not, there is not a rack that will work on your RV and your Honda CR-V.
I recommend the Hollywood Racks TRS Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount, part # HR3000. This rack will only fit Class II or Class III hitch receivers. It is a rack that has been approved for RV use, so it will work on both of your vehicles. It can switch between 1 1/4" and 2", which makes it a versatile option. It is a platform rack that holds the bike by the wheels, which protects the frame of your bikes. This rack is a tilt away rack, even when loaded with bikes, so you always have access to the rear of your vehicle. It comes with an anti-rattle hitch pin to eliminate movement in the rack and the hitch receiver. With the addition of the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock and Cable Lock for Hollywood Racks Commuter, Traveler, Sport Rider Bike Racks, part # HRLHPTC, you can lock your rack to your vehicle and lock your bikes to your rack.

For hanging style bike racks with 2+ bikes, is there a way to keep them from swinging and scratching or damaging each other?
