Replacement Motor Assembly for Fan-Tastic Roof Vent

Question:

HI, We have a 2013 Roadtrek 190 Popular, and our overhead fan died. The current fan box 14inch X 14 is only 2 1/2inch thick plus the exterior dome. The replacements we find are somewhat thicker than that. Questions are: 1. Do you have a replacement set up that would easily just slip into the roof hole without jutting up or down too much? 2. Is it possible to just replace the motor with another 12 V motor?

Please check your specific fan for model number and compare to the Replacement Fan Motor Assembly Kit for Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent Fans, # FVK8017-00. This replaces the bow-tie bracket, motor, and blade for your Fan-Tastic Vent roof vent fan working with FV800800, FV801200, FV801250, FV802250, FV803350, or FV807350 models.

If you choose to do a complete replacement of the unit, I suggest the Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat - Powered Lift, # FV803350. This is a simple two wire installation with a powered lift or manual override with a rain sensor as well. It can be installed on roofs up to 4" thick but can also be trimmed downed to fit your needs. This will set only 4-1/2" above your roof when closed if clearance is a concern.
