How To Identify Fifth Wheel Bolt Pattern on Montana Trailer

Question:

I recently purchased an 04 Montana 31 ft fifth wheel Im trying to identify the kingpin box. It has a serial tag with numbers and letters but no manufacturer name. The serial number is 4YDF318284F701382. Any help identifying this would be appreciated

There is not a cross reference for travel trailers that would identify your pin box brand or model. If you need repair parts for your existing pin box, you would have to call Keystone/Montana with your trailer VIN and Year to see if they can tell you.

If you need to replace your pin box you only need to know your pin box bolt pattern expressed as a 4 digit number. I have attached an article that will tell you all about pin boxes and how to measure the bolt pattern so you can determine what replacements could work.

For instance, if your bolt pattern is 1116 and your trailer is under 21,000 pounds, the the Lippert # LC155943 Trailair that you referenced would work for you. If your bolt pattern is different then just email me back and I can give you a revised referral.
