Will the Thule Force XL Rooftop Cargo Box Interfere with the GPS Reception?

Question:

We have a new 2021 Toyota Sienna Limited. Will this carrier interfere with the cars GPS reception? The antenna is in the little fin on the rear of the roof.

If your new 2021 Toyota Sienna Limited has the rear fin for the GPS or radio reception, the 82-3/4 inch long Thule Force XT XL Rooftop Cargo Box # TH6358B will most likely cover the fin. Depending on what you have stored inside the cargo box, there may be some interference, but there should not be a complete blocking of the signal for your radio/GPS. The plastic box itself should not obstruct the satellite signal you receive from the antenna.

If you want a shorter box, I recommend the Trunx Rooftop Cargo Carrier # TRX44FR. The external dimensions of the Trunx carrier is 46-5/8" long x 27-3/8" wide x 17-5/16" tall. This is a great option if you want to have a shorter box that would not interfere with the rear fin.
