Question:
I just came from an Auto Store where I tried a variety of clip on rear view mirror expanders. The attaching mechanism in the back of each was not wide enough for my 2002 Acura TL. They were 3inch wide and below. I probably need slightly smaller than 3.5 Also, I saw a comment in the reviews that the curved mirrors are illegal in states??? Any suggestions? Thank you.

The K-Source Panoramic Mirror, Part # KSRM012, is intended as a universal fit item that will fit a majority of original equipment mirrors. If the rear view mirror of your Acura TL is between 2-1/8 and 2-7/8 inches tall and no thicker than 3/4 of an inch, the K-Source Mirror, part # KSRM012, will fit.
Please refer to the attached photo which illustrates the back side of the mirror and its spring-loaded mounting clamps. These clamps expand from 2-1/8 to 2-7/8 inches.
This mirror uses a mildly convex shape that will slightly alter depth perspective, but it does not affect the view so much that it is illegal for on-road use. (Some mirrors, such as # KSRM1300 and # KSRM011, do change the view to such a degree that they are approved for off-road use only). I have included a link to our department page for rear view mirrors where you can see all similar products.
