Question:

I just had a CMF13448 hitch installed on a 2021 Subaru Ascent and now realize I need a 7 pin connection. The hitch does not have the plate for the pin plug I do not know the term, so I am looking at getting the No-Drill Mount for Electrical Mounting Bracket - Shortinch bracket and adding a 4 pin to 7 pin adapter/converter. I do not know if the short bracket will work or if I will need a longer one to clear the hitch and add the 7 pin converter. Can you advise?

You will want to use the short no drill mounting bracket # 18140 to secure the 7-way connector to the Curt # C25VR on your 2021 Subaru Ascent.

If you have not already ordered the 7-way connector I recommend the Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector # 118290 which is confirmed to fit your vehicle. In addition you will need another mounting bracket, # PK12711U as well.
