Miscellaneous gear roughly 1500 lbs including Durango occupants for a total of 3900 lbs. The Durango towing capacity is 6200 lbs. what brake controller do you recommend? Thanks

I recommend using the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 and plug and play adapter # TK93VR. The Prodigy P3 is one of our most popular and reliable controllers and will provide you with proportional braking for your boat trailer, which will give you responsive braking while towing.
I've linked a short review and installation video of this controller for you to check out.
