What All is Needed to Install a Brake Controller on a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan

For 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan I ordered the Curt C56331 Curt T connector Harness that is still in the box from Etrailer. I now need a 7 blade Round Connector for a boat trailer that has electric brakes for a single axle trailer. My question: Can this harness be used and add the 7 blade round connector and the Tehonsha Prodigy 3 Controller or will I need to send this one back and exchange for another harness? And any video to show how this project can help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You will actually need to start with a 4 Flat to get everything up and running, so the Curt # C56331 is definitely needed. As the Grand Caravan's did not come pre-wired for brake controllers, you will need our Universal Brake Controller Installation Kit # ETBC7. The included 7 Way will piggy back off of the 4 Flat to get the tail lights, brake lights, and blinkers working properly. I included a video we have of an install we did with the # ETBC7 on a 2014 Grand Caravan, but it will be the same on your 2017.

The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 is a controller I suggest a lot as it is, in my opinion, the best one on the market at the moment. With its easy to read LCD screen and general ease of use, it is highly recommended.
