Question:

My VW Touareg has been declared a total loss and I’m trying to remove the aeroblade bars. I can’t find my AcuTight tool and the wrecker picks my vehicle up tomorrow for salvage. Can I use another tool to loosen straps. Really don’t want to have to cut them off.

I'm very sorry to hear about your VW Touareg, but unfortunately there isn't another tool to remove your AeroBlade Edge crossbars, you will need the Replacement AcuTight Tool for Thule AeroBlade Edge Crossbars For Raised Side Rails # 1500052318.

Hopefully you were able to locate your AcuTight tool in time, but if you did have to cut the straps, it is possible for you to replace those so you don't have to get a new rack system. For that you would need the Replacement Wrap-Around Straps for Thule AeroBlade Edge Crossbars # 1500052976.
