Could Malone Crossbar kit part # MPG4001 Attach to Side Rails of Utility Trailer

Question:

I was think of attaching these bars directly to the side rails of my 5 x 10 utility trailer. I was thinking of mounting these to the side rails for support. looking at the design of the bars and how it attached to sport trailer I wouldnt need the u shaped bar undearneath since I have side rails. I was thinking of attaching with ubolts. Any suggestions will help appreciated.

While the Malone Crossbar kit part # MPG4001 wasn't intended to be installed like you mentioned that doesn't mean you couldn't do so. If you wanted to use U-bolts you'd need to find ones that are 1-1/4 inch wide since that's how wide the bars are.
