Typical hot tub height is 34"-42" high, so you'll be able to use the Econo Porch Trailer Step with Handrail and Landing - Double - 7" Drop/Rise, 20-1/2" Tall Item # EHS-102-R to help get in and out of your hot tub. These steps come with a hand rail, slip resistant surfaces, and yellow indicator strips to help with visibility.

Would these hurt to use barefoot? Ie, how sharp is the grit?

@BradW The non-slip coating on the # EHS-103-R-HR is comparable about 160 grit sandpaper but is has a bit more texture to it. You could definitely walk on it without shoes and be fine, but these are powder-coated black so they could get very hot in the summer months.
