What is the diameter of this product. trying to get an idea of what the perpendicular weight it will hold without bending?

I went out into our warehouse to measure one of the Industrial Deluxe Lever Action Cargo Bars # 08906 that we have in stock and found that it has two diameters. One portion of it is 1-1/4 inches thick and another portion is 1-1/2 inches thick.
