Features to know about

Steady Entry Every Time: 27" Wide Steel Steps with 350 lb Capacity

The Econo Porch Trailer Step gives you a solid, sure-footed way to step in and out safely. Each step is 27" wide and 9" deep, with a comfortable 7" drop/rise that feels natural for anyone. Built from powder coated steel to resist rust and corrosion, it supports up to 350 lbs without flexing. Whether you’re carrying gear or helping someone with limited mobility, these steps stay stable and firm underfoot.

Relax on a Spacious Landing: 27" x 16" Platform for Easy Balance

At the top, a 27" wide x 16" deep landing gives you room to pause and steady yourself before entering. It feels more like stepping onto a mini porch than a narrow stair, making it great for users who want a little extra space to balance or handle doors comfortably. Yellow indicators on each step improve visibility in low light, and the non-slip surface keeps your footing secure even when wet.

Safety Within Reach: Interchangeable Handrail for Either Side

You can mount the handrail on either side to match your setup. It measures 25" deep, 41" tall in front, and 54-3/4" tall in back, giving you a solid grip from bottom to top. The handrail adds confidence for anyone needing support going up or down, and makes the steps easier to use for older adults, kids, or pets.

Folds Flat for Storage: 47" x 35" x 5" When Packed Down

When it’s time to move, the fully assembled step system folds down to just 47" wide x 35" long x 5" thick. Six lock-open braces attach for stability when set up, then come off for compact storage. Weighing about 45–50 lbs, it’s manageable enough to lift into a truck bed or storage bay between trips.

Built to Last Outdoors: Powder Coated Steel That Resists Corrosion

These steps are designed for continuous outdoor use. The heavy-gauge steel frame is powder coated to stand up to weather, so it holds its finish even after rain and sun exposure. It’s a solid, dependable porch step that makes every entry feel safe and steady.

Fantastic! The order came on time, the stairs are perfect; your staff could not have been more helpful and courteous. The stairs are very durable, easy to put together and attractive. The only small problem was that the hardware bag had broken open. Might use a more durable bag. Thank you for your product and service.

All is well!

Hello: This product arrived yesterday in a snowstorm, so we did take a look to see if any damage was sustained in transit. Everything seems ok. We will be leaving it in the box for about a month & will be using it for access to our trailer/guest house. Looking forward to giving it a try!! Sorry, no photos at this time.

working just fine - though it doesnt get used in the winter, just good weather pleased with the sturdy construction!

by:

Steps were easy to assemble and can be carried fully assembled in my CR-V.
They can be slid in and out of car an to the motorhome door by one older adult.
The steps have made it possible for my partner to continue traveling on the RV.

by:

Received the steps super fast. We are very pleased with them. Tried them out today and they made entering and exiting our motor home very easy. I am disabled and I felt safe using these steps. We are very glad we found and purchased these steps. Price was much better than other places.

great

by:

I bought this not for an RV, but as an alternative set of stairs to use off of my front stoop while a portion of the front walkway of my house is being repaired. The stairs were easy to unfold/assemble and fit perfectly against my front stoop, which is two feet high from the ground. My 74-year-old mother, with a bad knee and all, had no trouble negotiating these steps. They're sturdy, the railing was just right and the non-slip step surface is excellent. Very happy to have found this product to utilize for this purpose!

by:

This is a very nice set of stairs, so much better than the stairs that are on our fifth wheel camper. Both humans and dogs will be safer and happier with these stairs. I would have liked a lower price on them, but in today's world, everything is crazy. My stairs were delivered with damaged packaging, and the handrail was missing. The folks at etrailer took great care of the situation and made everything right.

by:

These steps are terrific. They still look brand new and are easy to sweep off. The only down sides are the weight and the fact that they don't fold. If they folded they couldn't be as stable or sturdy as they are though. We muscle them in to the back of our pick up (no canopy) and are always glad we have them as we get in and out of our trailer a million times on each camping trip and have that wide top step to stand on.

by:

I used the steps for the first time this past week on a camping trip to an area lake. It served its purpose very well by improving the stability for entrance steps to my motorhome. As aging RVers the increased entrance room and stability makes for a much safer access to the coach. A question to be answered with future use is whether one screw on each leg of the hand rail will be sufficient. I suppose, if it proves to not be strong enough, I can drill holes to add another screw in each leg for stronger support. I am sure your company tested it and believe one screw is enough. I am very impressed with the sturdiness and ease to erect.

by:

This product is very high quality and rugged. It is heavy, but that makes for a sturdy stair. The only complaint, and I read others had this issue as well, was packaging. All the product was in the box but the box was somewhat tore up. I am very pleased and would definitely purchase items from eTrailer again, without hesitation!

I actually purchased those as a gift for my father. They are wonderful! They are very well built, sturdy and solid. The hand rail makes me feel so much better about my dad going up and down them, much more safely! He is able to get in and out of his motorhome much more easily and safely, and I feel much more comfortable. When I am not there I dont worry near as much about them slipping and falling!

by:

We purchased these steps with a handrail because of the sturdiness the unit provides. My husband has to have a handrail available to negotiate any steps, so this unit fit the bill. HOWEVER, when we set up on a concrete site the platform comes up too high on the threshold to the trailer so that the door won’t open. When set up on a sandy site, I can dig two trenches with the claw of a hammer to set the steps down lower, allowing the door to swing open and closed. Plus the steps are so heavy I have a hard time moving them inside to travel and then get them outside when parked. Another thing: the screws that hold the handrail onto the steps, loosen and need to be tightened up frequently. Plus, to flatten the steps out and try to reassemble them is sooo hard merely because of their weight and getting the holes lined up with the braces for the screws to go in. If I lived permanently somewhere and put these steps up, I’d like them. We move around, so using these steps has become a hardship for me. They right now are on my porch going nowhere.

by:

This product is built well, and is much safer than the fold down steps on my 5th wheel. I use it to go in and out of the 5th wheel while camping and at home.

My wife and I are very pleased with the steps. We are in our mid 70s and feel much more comfortable getting in and out of our motorhome. The hand rail is great to have. Our motorhome is our home so they will be getting a lot of use. We highly recommend the steps to everyone.

by:

Meets all exceptions. Heavy construction but yet able to store in outside hatch of motor coach. And I am 57 year old women! lol Also so wonderful for my short legged Basset hound.

by:

We bought this to affix to our boat dock to level the approach to our boat. Very sturdy, really adds to our comfort level getting into the boat, especially when loaded down with baggage for a fun lake weekend!

by:

This is a great addition to our vintage trailer camp setup and the handrail if so helpful too. We do vintage trailer rallies and there is almost always an "open house" so visitors can go in and view the vintage trailers. Now we don't worry that someone might fall out the door or break the trailer step.

Were still loving our steps over a year later. Coming out of the trailer with an arm load of dinner heading to the picnic table is now so much safer than the trailer steps. Thank you for a wonderful addition to our trailer.

by:

We are retirement age and have small dogs we carry in and out of our trailer. It was pretty scary going up and down the trailer steps with a dog. These steps are AWESOME! We slide them in the back of the truck and it dosen't take much to set them up. We won't leave home without them. They are not too heavy but very stable. They are well made and at a good price. Heck, even without the dogs I wouldn't leave home without them!

These steps have been the best investment we have ever made for the trailer. As we age, it gets sort of scary going up and down trailer steps. I NEVER went on a trip that someone didnt ask about the steps and where I got them. I recently sold my travel trailer and am in the process of getting a new one and I took the steps to a farmhouse I have that is in the process of being remodeled. I used the steps for one of the doors, knowing I would be building a deck and didnt want to build something permanent, only to tear them down. They have been left out in the elements and the paint job is perfect, not a sign of rust. Cant say enough good about this product!

by:

Love these stairs!! My daughter and I own a women's mobile boutique and had a hard time finding stairs that had a handrail. These are perfect. The top stair meets the back bumper just right and they are so stable. I had hip surgery a year ago and I'm very comfortable going in and out of the truck now. A bit tough opening them up but we got the job done. The screws were taped to the unit and we even had a couple extras. Great communication from George at e-trailer for receiving and shipping the order. Even sent a follow up e-mail. I would highly recommend these stairs and this company!!!

Hi Kim,I am also opening a mobile shop and am looking for stairs for the rear of my chevy step van. Do your customers step on your bumper to enter your mobile boutique or does the top step sit on top of your bumper? Thanks!

Hey Sarah! The top step meets the back bumper. We have a p30 Chevy and it works out great. Depending where we park what the ground is like or how much merch we have on the truck, there may be a 1 dip. We put a strip of tape where it meets the bumper for safety purposes. So, our clients step onto the bumper and then step into the truck. One of our best investments. Good luck with the business!!

by:

Love my new steps. My pets love it as well due to the ease of walking out first and then down the steps. No big drop off. No more stepping up and wearing down the door surface of my RV. My steps are even with my Winnebago's floor so I can walk out and then walk down. The first time it was stiff to break down and move but now it is much easier to remove the screws and fold flat and put in the back of my truck when moving from location to location. Plus these steps are sturdy, no wobbling here. Great purchase for my full time RV life.

Econo two step. Great product. Easy to assemble and fits perfect on my popup camper. It looks like a factory accessory! Quick delivery and a very professional customer service department!

by:

Stairs work great! Makes it easier with the 16" platform stepping out of the trailer. We have water damage on the floor by the door and the trailer stairs really can't be used. This was a good solution and plan to use them when we replace our current trailer. Easy to assemble and store. Love lt!

by:

The steps assembly is simple. I am handicapped and these steps make it possible to get in and out of the trailer. They are very sturdy and non skids on the steps prevent me from slipping.

by:

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY STEPS, MY TRAVEL TRAILER IS SMALL AND THE DOOR IR TO SMALL TO PUT IN PERMANENT STEPS , SO I FOUND THESE AND OMG THEY ARE AWESOME, I FEEL VERY SECURE ON GOING UP AND DOWN ON THEM, AND WE JUST LIFT THEM INTO THE BACK OF OUR SUV FOR TRAVELING, YOU AN ALSO FLATTEN THEM OUT BUT JUST AS EASY TO HAUL THEM TOGETHER. I LOVE THE PLATFORM AT THE TOP, THEY ARE THE BEST ,

by:

Very easy to install. Perfect! Fit right up to the trailer door. I especially like how stable it is and the non-slip surfaces on the each of the steps.

One year on the coast in the Pacific Northwest, sand, salt air, we used these steps in all four seasons daily. They are solid as a rock showing little wear, no rust here everything seems to rust fast. This is one of the best purchases weve made for the RV, I highly recommend it to anyone.

  • What are the Dimensions of the Econo Porch Trailer Step # EHS-102-R When Broken Down
I went out to the warehouse to see what size box we ship the Econo Porch Trailer Step # EHS-102-R in and found it to measure about 35" x 47-1/2". Since the stairs come as one piece I don't advise trying to break them down any further than what they ship out as.
