Question:

I have a 2017 Forester and my wife has a 2017 Outback. I want a folding J-style rack that’s sturdy and installs and uninstalls quickly and easily on either car. Yakima Jaylow and Thule Hullaport XT seem almost identical in design, function, quality, and price, but Yakima shows up far more often as #1 in online reviews. You guys are the pros so which do you recommend for our vehicles? Thx.

The difference between the Thule Hullaport XT part # TH849000 and the Yakima Jaylow part # Y04073 is really pretty subtle as they are mostly the same design just from different brands. I'd recommend going which you like the appearance of the most since functionally you wouldn't have an advantage either way.
