Is There Supposed to be a Gap After the SumoSprings are Installed on a 2020 Silverado 1500
Updated 04/07/2021 | Published 04/06/2021 >
Question:
I recently installed the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper on my 2020 Silverado 1500, but there is about a 1 1/2inch gap between the spring and the axle with no load. Should I install the 1inch spacers to maximize usage or will that effect ride quality with no load? Thank you.

The SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs, part # SS45FR, for the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 are meant to have that 1-1/2" gap when there is no load. This is to ensure that the ride isn't stiff while unloaded. Adding spacers would negate that benefit.
It sounds like you have installed them exactly as they need to be. I've linked to a video review of these springs below.
