Will More Than 1" Of Overlap After Installing The Coil SumoSprings CSS-1094R Hurt Anything?
Updated 05/11/2026 | Published 05/08/2026 >
Question:
Hello, I order and had the SumoSprings CC1094 installed. The tech did NOT trim the end to only 1/2 - 1inch overlap, hence the overlap is now about 2inch . Is that something I need to be concerned about? Thank you for your help

Welcome back, Daniela!
Good question. I asked SumoSprings and having 2" of overlap after installing the # CSS-1094R is still perfectly fine. If you find that the springs are too stiff though, you will need to cut that overlap down to 1" or 1/2". That will help with that aspect.
Have you tried them out with towing or carrying anything yet?
