Question:
Hi, I have a 2017 F350 with the 2.5 inch receiver and want to ditch the adapter sleeves due to the extra play. Do you sell a 2.5 inch shank, and can I still use my head unit on my equalizer that is 2 inches? I wasn’t sure if the entire shank was 2.5, or if it was only the potion that went into the receiver.

You can absolutely replace the 2" shank on your weight distribution hitch with a 2-1/2" shank as only the the portion of the shank that goes into the receiver is larger and the section with the holes that the hitch head attaches to is still the dimension.
Now depending on which weight distribution hitch you have there are a few different options.
If your weight distribution hitch uses a shank that is solid with no channel in the front of it the Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank - 2-1/2" Hitch - 8" Rise, 4" Drop # EQ90-02-4800 would be a perfect option that will fit directly into the 2-1/2" receiver in your 2017 Ford F-350.
On the other hand if your hitch uses a shank with a channel in the front of it you would want to go with the Blue Ox Track Pro Weight Distribution Shank for 2-1/2" Hitches - 9 Hole Adjustment # BLU26FR.
If you are not sure just send me a picture of your current shank where it attaches to the weight distribution hitch head and I would be happy to identify it for you.
I included videos for both of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
