Connecting etrailer XHD Tow Bar to etrailer Base Plate Kit e98949 on 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

I have the etrailer XHD Non-binding Tow Bar 10,500 lb. part #e94ZR and etrailer Invisible Base Plate Kit- Removable arms Part #e98949 for 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. The instructions for attaching shows 5 different combo for bushings. which one do I use? The XHD has 1-1/8 bar Using 1/2 bolts. Is it OK to be loose inside of tab with using one poly washer on each side of bar?

We can help you out here as the instructions can be confusing. So when attaching the etrailer XHD Non-Binding Tow Bar # e94ZR to the etrailer Invisible Base Plate Kit # e98949 the hardware used are the pair of 1/2” bolts, four 1/2” poly washers and two 1/2” lock nuts.
You will indeed use two poly washers on each side, between the tow bar shaft and clevis. and it is okay to be loose inside of the tab. In fact, that is preferred as you do want there to be some rotation allowed on the tow bar shaft in order to allow for some maneuverability.
