Connecting Demco Tabless Base Plate Kit # DM9519292 to Demco Commander Tow Bar

Question:

The connecting clevis that came with the base plate kit has two 1/2inch holes. The holes in my Demco tow bar has a 3/8inch hole. I need a connecting clevis with the 1/2inch hole to hook to the tow plate pin with a 3/8inch hole to hook up to the tow bar. HELP.

I spoke with my contact at Demco regarding the Tabless Base Plate Kit # DM9519292 for your Jeep Wrangler and existing Demco Tow Bar.

My contact says it sounds like you have the Demco Commander Tow Bar, which features the smaller mounting holes that you mentioned. The base plate kit you purchased actually includes all the pieces you need to adapt them to this tow bar so a separate clevis or adapter is not needed. At the top of page 6 in the installation instructions it walks through how to connect the base plates to the Commander using 3/8 inch bolts and washers.
