Question:

I am completely replacing lights/wiring on a landscape trailer and want to use the Wesbar 4-Pole Flat Connector w/ Jacketed Cable - Trailer End - 14foot Long Item # W787274 harness. What Lights should I use please reccomend heavy duty waterproof and how to I split the harness into Two Lights left and right? I guess I only need to split the brown wire? Help?

Expert Reply:

When using the Wesbar # W787274 you can just run a jumper wire for the running lights on the other side of the trailer; you're likely going to want to split the jacketing so that you can run the tail/blinker/brake light wires down each individual side of the trailer to allow for easier installation. If you need butt connectors you can use the Deka Heat Shrink Butt Connectors # DW05745-5 to make your wiring connections, and you'll need 14 gauge wiring to match the Wesbar harness.

For lights you can use the Optronics Combination Trailer Tail Light - Submersilbe - 7 Function - Square - Driver Side # ST7RB and Optronics Combination Trailer Tail Light - 6 Function - Incandescent - Red Lens - Passenger Side # ST8RB, which are submersible tail lights. For the side marker lights you can use the # 423200.

I've linked some review videos of these parts for you to check out as well as some helpful articles on wiring that you may want to use as a guide.
