Should Lippert Ground Control Stabilizers be Used During Winter Storage
Updated 01/15/2021 | Published 01/13/2021 >
Question:
Comments for and against leaving rear Lippert stabilizers down during winter storage. Some think a flat tire over winter could cause serious frame twist. Your thoughts please.

There really isn't any reason to use stabilizers like the Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Electric 5th Wheel RV Leveling System # LC675817 during winter storage. The 5th wheel trailer has no need to be leveled or stabilized during storage, and a flat tire like you mentioned could be undue pressure on the system for a long period of time.
So I don't recommend using the leveling system during storage, but in order to help prevent flat spots on your tires during winter storage I do recommend using the TrailerLegs Tire Saver Stands for Trailers with Leaf Spring Suspensions - Tandem Axle # 326-TRLLG-4.
I have added a link below to a video review of these stands for you to check out as well if you'd like.
