Question:
Is this Mx base plate 1175-3 bolt on with no drilling?

Some drilling is required for the Roadmaster base plate kits if your 2007 Toyota Tacoma is a 2 wheel drive model. The 4 wheel drive and Prerunner models do not require drilling because there will be a bolt holding a frame cap in place. I have attached a photo showing where the drilling is required on the 2 wheel drive models. Only one 1/2 inch hole must be drilled on each side for the bottom support bracket.
A few things to keep in mind with this base plate kit is that it will not work with the Guardian rock shield, Tow Defender, Stowaway or the StowMaster or Tracker tow bars and it will not fit the X-Runner models. The Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit, # 1175-1, will fit if you have the Guardian rock shield, but some minor trimming will be required. The XL kit is also compatible with the Tow Defender and all Roadmaster tow bars.
If you have an X-Runner model, then you will want to install the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit, # BX3763.
