Tiedown 70E Replacement Surge Brake Actuator Recommendation
Updated 12/09/2020 | Published 12/08/2020 >
Question:
My emergency cable broke as I forgot it was attached. I cant find any instruction on how to replace. It looks like most people opt for a new Acuator. What would the replacement options be? Anything that would be easier fix if this was to happen again. And what replacements would have the easiest install. Seems like a poor design on the Tiedown now Dexter.

The easiest replacement solution for the TieDown 70E actuator is the Dexter DX7.5 Drop N Go Brake Actuator part # 099-175-20 which is very similar to what you have now but has been improved. We do not have a replacement cable setup for your current actuator.
