Can I use a curt x5 with a curt r24? I am trying to get slider compatible with a curt gooseneck in a 2016 Chevy 2500short bed I already have a q24 head. Thanks

Yes. You can use the Curt X5 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter for Curt Double Lock Gooseneck Trailer Hitches - 20,000 lbs # C16210 in your Curt Double Lock # C61301-52 gooseneck hitch. When using this setup it will be compatible with a Curt R24 Round Tube Slider for Q24 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - 12" Travel # C16570, however you will be limited to 20000-lbs maximum towing capacity with this setup.

The Curt R24 Round Tube Slider # C16570 is designed specifically for your existing Q24 hitch head.
