Reese Goose Box Measurements For A Ford F-350

Question:

Is there a dimensional drawing of the current Goosebox showing bed rail clearance in an F350 LB? Thank you in advance

We do not currently have a dimensional drawing of the Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter - Lippert 1716 - 20,000 lbs Item # RP94716-61301 on a Ford F-350 however, a 2017 Ford F-350 inside bed height is 21.1" and inside bed width of 66.9". From the bottom of the trailer nose to the bottom of the pin box where the ball inserts is approximately 27.64". With an inside bed height of 21.1", that leaves you with approximately 6.54" of clearance from the top of the bed rails to the bottom of the trailer nose. We recommend at least 5". From the very back of the pin box to where the ball inserts is approximately 28.95". The ball is centered in the bed between the two sides, 66.9" divided by two gives you 33.45" which leaves you with 4.5" of clearance. This tells us that the back of the pin box, which actually sits at 28.5", is 4 inches inside the bed rails when making a 90 degree turn.

I have added a dimensional drawing so you can get a good idea of the measurements of the goose box.
