Whats he red wire do, its coming out of the vehicle adapter before The converter?

The red wire on the input side of the converter box of the Hopkins wiring kit part # 40215 is the stoplight circuit. The converter box takes the wiring setup on your vehicle which has the stoplights and turn signals on different wires and combines them to be on the same circuit which is why the red wire does not come out the other side of the box.
