The ThermaHeat RV Holding Tank part # 277-000164 can be hooked up directly to the battery, red to positive and white to ground but it would run continuously if done so. Therefore, I do recommend installing a switch in-line like part # PK34310 so you can control power but it is possible to hook the leads directly to the battery.
