Question:
I am planning on purchasing a heating pad for my freshwater tank that is exposed so that I can use my trailer in the winter. Once the pad is on, am I able to put insulating tape over the pad to further protect the pad itself from direct exposure to driving environment? i.e. - Water spray, snow/ice, rocks, ect. If not, what would you recommend that I can put over pad to protect it from damage? Also, do you offer a wall mount switch that looks like a light switch that can tie into the pad? Lastly, if I buy one pad, how would it tie into battery then wall switch? I am nowhere close to proficient with electricity...any way a diagram could be provided? Thanks in advance!

The ThermaHeat RV Holding Tank part # 277-000163 has an adhesive backing so no further method of securing it would be required nor is there anything I can recommend. I would also not recommend covering it for protection as this could be a fire hazard. it In regards to operation, it would work with pretty much any toggle/rocker switch like part # PK34310.
I have attached a sample diagram I made to help with the wiring.
