Question:

I have a 2018 tesla model 3 and am looking at the stealth hitch with 2 inch receiver along with the kuat sherpa 2.0 . My question is that since the hitch is only 10 inches above the ground, is there room to fold the sherpa down to access the trunk without the rack banging into the ground? also is there enough clearance so that the bike rack isnt scraping against the back bumper of car? thanks

I checked with Kuat about the clearances for the Sherpa 2.0, and can confirm that you will not have any problems with clearances for either the tilting or folding feature on your 2018 Tesla Model 3 when using the rack with the Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver # 391TES317.

I added some diagrams for you with measurements of the Sherpa 2.0, and as you can see, when it tilts down, with the Stealth hitch being about 10 inches above the ground on the Tesla, you will have a few inches to spare when the Sherpa 2.0 is tilted down. As for when it is folded up, the Stealth hitch clears the bumper by a couple inches, so you'll have more than enough room to fully fold the rack up, as the closest part is 7-1/2 inches away from the hitch pin hole.
