You don’t have to give up the style of your ride just to carry your bikes or cargo. This hitch keeps the cross tube concealed behind the rear bumper, so when the 2" x 2" receiver is removed, nothing is visible. You keep that clean, from-the-factory look. When you’re ready to load up, the detachable receiver locks securely into place and pops back out just as easily when you’re done.

Installing this hitch doesn’t require drilling or welding. It bolts straight to existing mounting points for a strong, secure fit that protects your vehicle’s crumple zones. The receiver attaches and detaches in seconds without tools—just push it into the stainless steel block until it latches, lock it, and you’re ready to go.

Made with durable stainless steel and finished with a black powder coat, this hitch is built to resist corrosion and road grime. The sturdy center block design gives solid support for your rack or cargo carrier and includes an integrated lock to prevent theft. It’s rated for a maximum tongue weight of 200 lbs, so you can confidently haul your gear trip after trip.
This setup is made for hitch-mounted racks and carriers only, keeping things simple when you just want to carry bikes or extra cargo. If you decide you want towing capability later on, it can be upgraded with the Stealth Hitches towing kit (SH25MR – sold separately) for up to 2,000 lbs gross trailer weight and a 2" hitch ball included.

I love this product. It costs more than other hitches, but none of the others offer the stealth feature. I added the towing upgrade later, and it's also great.
Relatively straight foward to install, fits great, and just works.
Love this thing. Easy to use, and keeps my car looking good when not in use. This is the 2nd car I’ve had with the stealth hitch. Love it.
Construction and finish are top notch. However, I do have a few of issues: (1) I had to cut 3/8” off two of the four provided bolts, as they would not fit into the rear-most frame section of my 2024 CX-5 along with the backing plates; (2) I got the list of “tools required” together but found at an unfortunate key point that the nuts are not 15/16” but 9/16”; (3) this is only a DYI job if your garage is equipped with a lift and two other people to help muscle the hitch into the four floating bolts. Fortunately, etrailer’s top recommended local installer (KAR Automotive) bailed me out.
Love having the ability to remove the hitch when not in use! It keeps our Mazda CX-5 looking clean.
Installed myself at home and while it's possible to do yourself, I did run into a few challenges:
- As mentioned in one of the other comments, the two bolts closest to the rear are too long to stand upright in the 2024 CX-5. I had to cut them down a bit with an angel grinder, but then they went in smoothly.
- Access to wrench down the final 2 bolts is tight and it took a really long time to get it torqued down by hand (compared to using a powered tool)
- Total install took about ~2-3 hours for a handy DIYer that doesn't have much experience working specifically with cars
I would still recommend this hitch as once its installed it feels very sturdy and love being able to remove it.
