Question:

I have a 2018 Volvo XC90 T6 and Im wondering what bike rack works best if I want to be able to access the cargo area with the bikes loaded? Were looking at both 2 and 4 bike options.

The best bike rack solution for giving access to the rear cargo area when bikes are loaded is a swinging bike rack like the Thule Apex Swing part # TH9027XT which will swing out and away from the rear of the vehicle with bikes loaded to give you complete access with bikes loaded.

I attached a picture of what this rack looks like in use with it swung out as well as a link to an install video as well.

If you don't have a hitch installed already, you'd need one like the Curt part # C53HR which is a mostly hidden option confirmed as a fit.
